Dr. Michael Beehner has been providing world-class hair restoration surgery to patients since 1989 and has won numerous awards for his work in the field of surgical hair restoration.
He is a diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.
Dr. Beehner graduated from the University of Illinois Medical School and did his internship at Wesley Medical Center (Wichita, Kansas).
He is a recognized pioneer in many modern hair transplant techniques and was the recipient of the 2007 Manfred Lucas Lifetime Achievement Award awarded by the International Society of Hair Restoration.
Dr Beehner also won the 1999 Platinum Follicle Award, given annually by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery to the physician who performed the year’s best research.
During the past 24 years Dr Beehner has had the good fortune to be involved in the leadership of the specialty internationally, helping to bring about many of the changes and improvements in the field of hair transplant surgery. He has lectured all over the world, including Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Australia.
Dr. Beehner resides in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. with his wife Harrilyn. They have been married 45 years and have nine grandchildren. His interests outside of medicine include playing baseball (plays a week every January with the Chicago Cubs in Arizona), running (41 marathons in total, including Boston 13 times), stamp collecting, playing guitar and harmonica, and prison ministry with the Catholic R.E.C. Program.
